The List de Kay


Kay's been so prolific and has sent so many useful items that I decided just to plonk 'em all in one
page.

NOTE: These have all been suggested by Kay, who is not me.
If you have any questions about any of these weapons, address them to Kay, not me!
I don't know what any of them are, either. -_-; I may have to do some asking in her direction, too...

Rhomphaia - Old Greek weapon, 3 to 4 foot shaft with an EXTREMELY curved
blade at the end. Not like a scythe, think of a shepards crook used when
hearding sheep, and the curved part of the wood is metal and the underside is
bladed, that's the best I can describe it.


Crowbill - Persian and Indian weapon, long shaft with a heavy blunt head and
on the end of the blunt head is a very thin sharp spike used for piercing

heavy armor.

War Mattock - Almost like a farmers tool turned into a weapon, on one side
is a javalin type point and on the other it's either a sharp edged hoe or any
type of tool that can be used to plow fields for seeds.


Katar - Very short and thick bladed weapon used for piercing things. It
fits around the hand instead of being held in the palm or what have you like
a normal sword and the blade sticks up through the knuckles...actually that's
a pretty bad description as well, but hey.


Military Pick - Basically like a pick axe with one side, just a more fancy
name to make people think you have something really exotic


Falchion - Neat weapon, actually looks like a giant meat cleaver O.o;.
Curved like a scimitar but short and stout, the end is wider then the base.


Gladius - You know what the Roman's and Gladiator and all them used back in
Caeser's time? The short, thick swords with small hand guards...those are
Gladius'. [I think the proper pluralization is "gladii." --Language-obsessed Freak]


Maul - Big sucker, usually a 4-6 foot pole with a really heavy sphere at the
end. Only used with two hands cause there was no one strong enough to lift
it with one hand. Basically it's named after what it does, Mauls people.


That's right it's Kay again, back with more weapons then God himself has
(well, not THAT many). Half of these you won't even be able to find doing an
internet search, and there's quite a few of them. So now everyone who
submits an application to an RPG can have the GM going "a (insert my weapons
here)? what the heck is that!?". To keep it easier on me, I just piled them
into different groups instead of writing out the exact description of each.
